Welcome to the Wildboarclough and Macclesfield Forest parish website!

The parish is one of Cheshire's largest and most picturesque parishes and is based around the small rural hamlets of Wildboarclough and Macclesfield Forest.  Nestling in the hills on the western side of the Peak District visitors have the opportunity to explore a beautiful corner of Britain's oldest national park using an extensive network of paths and bridleways.  You will also be most welcome to visit the local hostelries and attractions.

One of the key local events is the annual Rose Queen Fete and fell race which will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 25 May 2009 in the grounds of Crag Hall.  Please come and join us.

Christmas

Don't panic but Christmas is round the corner!  In the run up to Christmas don't forget to place your order for Wildboarclough Christmas cards (all proceeds go to St Saviour's Church, Wildboarclough) and make a note to attend the WI Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday 1 November in the School Rooms.

Clough Road Closure (20 October - 7 November 2008 exact dates to be confirmed)

Please be advised that Clough Road, Wildboarclough will be closed between the Stanley Arms and A54 Buxton Road (no through route - local access only) as there will be works in the vicinity of High Ash Farm for carriageway resurfacing works by Cheshire County Council.  For further details, please contact John Hannan on 0845 002 0666.
