Welcome to the Wildboarclough and
Macclesfield Forest parish website!The parish is
one of Cheshire's largest and most picturesque parishes and is based around
the small rural hamlets of Wildboarclough and Macclesfield Forest.
Nestling in the hills on the western side of the Peak District visitors have
the opportunity to explore a beautiful corner of Britain's oldest national
park using an extensive network of paths and bridleways. You will also
be most welcome to visit the local hostelries and attractions.
One of the key local events is the annual
Rose Queen Fete and
fell race which will take place on Bank Holiday
Monday 25 May 2009 in the grounds of Crag Hall. Please come and join us.
Christmas
Don't panic but Christmas is round the corner! In the
run up to Christmas don't forget to place your order for
Wildboarclough Christmas cards (all
proceeds go to St Saviour's Church, Wildboarclough) and make a note to
attend the WI Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday 1
November in the School Rooms.
Clough Road Closure (20 October - 7 November 2008 exact
dates to be confirmed)
Please be advised that
Clough Road, Wildboarclough will be closed between the Stanley Arms and A54
Buxton Road (no through route - local access only) as there will be works in
the vicinity of High Ash Farm for carriageway resurfacing works by Cheshire
